World Federalism
One planet, one democratic federation.
World federalists want a democratic government above nation-states, with real power over things like war, climate and human rights, while countries keep running their own affairs. The idea is to replace international chaos with law, the way states replaced feuds between towns.
What they'd say
War between nations ends when there's law above them.
Climate change doesn't respect borders.
I'm a citizen of the world, and I want a vote there.

Where it gets messy
A planet-wide government would be very distant from regular people, and if it turned evil there'd be nowhere to flee. Nationalists see it as the end of sovereignty.
